Does Joe Biden have it in for Kamala Harris?
It would seem so. He seems intent upon assigning her jobs that are guaranteed to fail, based on how the Biden team approaches the questions.
First, he assigned her responsibility for the border, as we reported, which is a complete and utter mess. Now, if they had just left President Donald Trump's policies in place, they would have been in pretty good shape. But they blew all those up and created a disaster. Kamala, of course, did nothing to solve it. She didn't even go to the border, that's how interested she was in it and when asked, just cackled.
Then the Biden folks tried to back off of that assignment, saying that she was only responsible for the “root causes.”
As we reported earlier, now her own people are trying to get her out of this mess and disclaim all responsibility for it, and trying to distance her from the border crisis. Listen to this CNN hack Natasha Bertrand act like a spokesperson for Harris.
Oh, great. The job is too big and so, therefore, don't hold her accountable for any part that can be measured.
So what to do when she's screwed up the one job that she's so far been assigned? Why, give her another albatross assignment, as well!
Joe Biden announced today that Kamala Harris would lead his efforts on “voting rights.” Now, every time I hear Democrats talk about “voting rights” as though people didn't actually have rights and/or people were threatening them, I just want to scream “Disinformation!” Because that's all that Democrats are about on the matter. So perhaps that makes Harris the perfect person for that, since she's shown she has no problem spreading disinformation.
What is she going to do?
“President Joe Biden asked me to help lead our Administration's effort to protect the fundamental right to vote for all Americans. In the days and weeks ahead, I will engage the American people, and I will work with voting rights organizations, community organizations, and the private sector to help strengthen and uplift efforts on voting rights nationwide,” Harris said in a statement first released to CNN. “And we will also work with members of Congress to help advance these bills.”
“The work ahead of us is to make voting accessible to all American voters, and to make sure every vote is counted through a free, fair, and transparent process. This is the work of democracy,” Harris added.
Translation: lie about Republican bills and claim they're racist, trying to stop people from voting. It's fundamentally dishonest to paint these bills the way Biden, Harris, and the Democrats have been painting them.
However, it's also likely another no-win issue, because unless the Democrats actually pass their bill to basically nationalize voting (and that's probably unlikely), she will be viewed by the left as having failed. It's also an issue that Democrats falsely use to attack Republicans — they need it as an attack point. So, if that makes sense, they don't want Democrats to view it as “solved” or not an issue (even though it isn't and no one's rights are being threatened by Republicans). Thus, it's another one likely to backfire on her.
So does Joe Biden have it in for her? I wouldn't be at all surprised.
