Hillary Clinton Just Endorsed Cuomo For 2022, Most New Yorkers Want Him Gone

New Yorkers deserve to know about the corruption in Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s handling of COVID-19 patients in nursing homes, the underreported numbers, his allegations of sexual harassment, and how staff members were involved in the publication of his pandemic leadership book. The list goes on, but New York Democrats are stalling for as long as they can with the investigations. Mind you, this is the same Governor who accepted a multi-million dollar book deal about how well he tackled the pandemic while purposely covering up thousands of deaths.

The Democrat-led New York Assembly Judiciary Committee recently met with an independent counsel that was conducting the investigation into Cuomo. They voted this week to begin issuing subpoenas for witness testimony. Mind you, the investigation began in March and they are only now starting to issue subpoenas. What’s with the wait?

The Joint Commission on Public Ethics also voted not to investigate into someone from the ethics committee who may have leaked confidential information about a probe to Cuomo. The vote to investigate the situation only received six out of the eight votes needed. Luckily for Cuomo, four of the members who voted against the investigation had also been appointed by him. Talk about convenient.

It’s clear that Democrats are having a hard time keeping voters with all of the lies and corruption happening under Cuomo’s leadership. He went from parading and gloating about his many accomplishments to becoming the man at the center of several scandals.

A new Siena poll also reveals that majority of New Yorkers want Cuomo gone. The poll was conducted between June 22-29 with roughly 800 registered voters. 43% of the pollsters were Democrats.

23% of the voters said they wanted Cuomo to resign immediately and 39% said they wanted him to finish his term but not run again in the 2022 midterm elections. The Siena poll revealed that only 35% of pollsters would vote for Cuomo again, while 56% would prefer to vote for someone else.

A Cuomo spokesperson tried to defend the poll results, saying that New Yorker’s have only heard “one side of the story and haven’t yet heard the truth.” Then why wait? Why won’t the governor hold a press conference to talk about “his truth?” Right, there isn’t one. And while Cuomo might still hold out hope for the future, he did receive one nomination.

Former 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton also endorsed the re-election of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, claiming that the “best days” are ahead for New Yorkers. Cuomo and Clinton have had long ties together, with Cuomo serving in President Bill Clinton’s cabinet as secretary of the U.S Department of Housing & Urban Development. Cuomo has often talked about how Bill Clinton has been one of his “main mentors.”

The figures have fallen favorably since Cuomo’s multiple scandals and decreased quality of living in the state. While most voters said they do not think that the State Assembly will impeach Cuomo, 4 in 10 believe that the New York Attorney Letitia James will find evidence of sexual harassment in the probe.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that one of the first Cuomo endorsements is a Clinton. The Democratic corruptions runs deep and it’s all about who you know and how much money you have. That’s how New York is run.
