Border Patrol Admits They Feel Dead Inside, Morale Is Lower Than Ever

While ignoring the mess they’ve made in Afghanistan, the Biden Administration is also refusing to address the ongoing crisis at the border. President Joe Biden’s immigration policies are to blame for the current surge of migrants crossing the southern border. Numbers have hit 20-year highs with the lowest number of agents on duty. Morale is low within Border Patrol and it has been since Biden took office in January.

The Washington Examiner even published an article the other day stating that there were only a few dozen Border Patrol Agents on duty along the 245-mile stretch of the US border. Del Rio Border Patrol agents state that it is the “lowest-ever number of agents on duty” in Texas, even as more migrants continue crossing by the day.

Agents have been put under extreme work conditions, which makes it nearly impossible to carry out and secure their mission. A spokesperson for the Border Patrol’s union, Jon Anfinsen, revealed how morale is “in the toilet,” leaving many agents physically drained and unable to see beyond the current circumstance.

Anfinsen said that morale is “tanking past” in the department and that it can be seen in the simple statements made by agents. It can even be seen during the processing times, with agents flat-out tired and with no end in sight.

“Morale is low because agents aren’t allowed to do their job — if our job is to be out patrolling the border in between the ports of entry and actively searching for people who have crossed illegally, but we’re not allowed to go do that job, it basically creates this defeated feeling in everyone,” Anfinsen said.

Anfinsen went on to say that the immigrants who are “running” away from Border Patrol aren’t even running at this point, but walking, because “we’re not there.” He said all of the agents who show up to work seem “almost dead inside, for lack of a better term” and that they know they are not allowed to do their job and stop people from getting away every single day.

One agent even admits that it’s “not hard” to spot migrants crossing into the United States, but that there aren’t enough agents to intercept them. State officials also said they were blown away by what the agents have to handle and that the crisis is not being treated as a crisis. They feel abandoned by CBP, DHS, and the Biden Administration as a whole. The president isn’t even on their side and no one is there to rescue them.

It’s the slow and quiet invasion that former president Donald Trump warned the American people about. President Biden laid out exactly what his plans were regarding immigration and citizenship for millions of illegal migrants – and people voted for him anyway. Or “so they did.”

National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd called the Migrant caravan making its way into the US an “invasion.”

“You can call it what you want, but Border Patrol agents are calling it an Invasion. They’re carrying their flag, a symbol of the oppression they supposedly want to escape, but they’re carrying their flag, and they’re very proud,” Judd said.

The radical left has continued to turn a blind eye to the number of people crossing the United States southern border, with 212,672 people apprehended in July. This is the highest number Border Patrol has seen in 21 years and a 14% increase from June. There were more than 19,000 unaccompanied children at the border, which is the second-highest number on record.

Meanwhile, Biden is blaming everyone else and Kamala Harris is just laughing it off.
