We saw a shooting turn deadly in California after the smash and grab robberies that have been happening in some Democratic cities, killing a former officer who was defending a news crew from being robbed after they went to cover a smash and grab story. Now, violence may have happened again, this time in Oakbrook Center Mall in Oak Brook, Illinois, which is a suburb near Chicago.
There's been a shooting at that mall that has injured four people, according to the police. One person is in custody after the mall was locked down during the shooting.

DuPage County board member Pete DiCianni said he was nearby and was told the shooting happened outside the Nordstrom store, a frequent target of smash and grabs. The mall was crowded with last-minute Christmas shoppers.
The mall has been hit by smash and grabs in the past, and the Nordstroms has been hit before, including on Dec. 6 where it was hit twice in one day.
