“All the news that's fit to print.”
That's the motto of the once-vaunted “Grey Lady,” The New York Times. My, how times have changed. A more appropriate motto today might be: “All the crap that's fit to spew.” This report serves as ample evidence.

In a New Years Day op-ed titled Every Day Is Jan. 6, the self-absorbed NYT editorial board, no doubt self-described as “a group of opinion journalists whose views are informed by expertise, research, debate, and certain longstanding values” [ROFL emoji], began the delusional piece with the following ridiculous paragraph. [Bracketed content, 100 percent yours truly.]
One year after from the smoke and broken glass, the mock gallows and the very real bloodshed of that awful day [the indiscriminant shooting death of Ashli Babbit by a Capitol police officer?], it is tempting to look back and imagine that we can, in fact, simply look back.
[Wait — is this about Jan. 6 or night after night, week after week, month after month violent George Floyd rioting, AKA: “peaceful protests”?]
To imagine that what happened on Jan. 6, 2021 — a deadly riot at the seat of American government, incited by a defeated president amid a last-ditch effort to thwart the transfer of power to his successor — was horrifying [oh, please] but that it is in the past and that we as a nation have moved on.
Then this nonsense, describing the Trump presidency:
This is an understandable impulse. After four years of chaos, cruelty, and incompetence, culminating in a pandemic and the once-unthinkable trauma of Jan. 6, most Americans were desperate for some peace and quiet.
“Chaos, cruelty, and incompetence.”
What chaos? Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioting across America? And, cruelty? By whom and inflicted on whom? And the ridiculous reference to the pandemic, given the pathetic response to COVID-19 by Joe “Winter of Severe Illness and Death” Biden and Anthony “I Am Science” Fauci, which has already resulted in more virus-related deaths than occurred during the Trump administration?
The board suggested that while the “peace and quiet” yearned for by most Americans has existed “on the surface,” if we “peel back a layer,” things are “far from normal.” True. But that would require peeling back a layer of the Biden administration and the woefully inept president's complete capitulation to the far-left.
In a Dec. 30 op-ed titled Why Nancy Pelosi Just Can't Quit Jan. 6, I suggested that the TDS-riddled Speaker desperately continues to cling to the Capitol goings-on in a transparent attempt to deflect attention away from the disastrous Biden presidency. But there is more at play with this NYT op-ed; the continuing and concerted effort by the left-wing media to ensure that the majority of Americans remember the maniacal evil embodied in the Devil's spawn — AKA: Donald Trump — and his mindless flying monkeys, who are ready, willing, and able to do his bidding at the drop of a red MAGA hat.
This is laugh-out-loud ridiculous, of course, except to the Democrats and their media. As they see it, Trump and his followers continue to threaten their plan to destroy America as we know it.
At this point, the real delusion begins. Try to read the following drivel with a straight face.
It is regular citizens who threaten election officials and other public servants, who ask, “When can we use the guns?” and who vow to murder politicians who dare to vote their conscience. It is Republican lawmakers scrambling to make it harder for people to vote and easier to subvert their will if they do.
It is Donald Trump who continues to stoke the flames of conflict with his rampant lies and limitless resentments and whose twisted version of reality still dominates one of the nation's two major political parties.
One question: Have these ivory tower elitists ever been to Chicago's Southside, where blood runs in the streets on a nightly basis? South Los Angeles? East St. Louis? Tioga-Nicetown in Philadelphia? The bloody list goes on. I am not playing “whataboutism,” here. I am suggesting that hyperbolic tripe like this NYT editorial board op-ed is not only delusional; it is the immoral equivalent of focusing on a bruise while ignoring the terminal cancer that threatens to destroy America as we know it.
“In short,” sums up the NYT editorial board geniuses, America continues to face an existential threat from Trump supporters.
[We face] an existential threat from a movement openly contemptuous of democracy and willing to use violence to achieve its ends. No self-governing society can survive such a threat by denying that it exists.
No self-governing society can survive such a threat by denying that it exists. Rather, survival depends on looking back and forward at the same time.
“Openly contemptuous of democracy.” Yeah, wrong party, guys.

When the Democrat Party fails to get its way, its first inclination is to cheat. (See: opposition to voter ID laws, support for lax mail-in ballot laws, a continuing massive influx of illegal aliens, et al.) When cheating doesn't get the job done, Democrats try to change the rules. (See: packing the Supreme Court, adding two states to the Union, suggesting that Biden implement the currently-failed “Build Back Better” socialist monstrosity via executive order, et al.)
And the real hell of it? The members of the NYT editorial board are not stupid. Misguided to oblivion? Of course. But stupid, no. The point is they — and all Democrat elitists — are fully aware of the above.
And why wouldn't they be? It has been the M.O. of the Democrat Party for six decades.
