January 6 Committee Claims Trump, John Eastman Part Of Criminal Conspiracy

The United States House Select Committee on January 6 Attack stated that ex-President Donald Trump and John Eastman were part in a criminal conspiracy to overturn the 2020’s election.

A former President Donald Trump and a right-wing attorney were part of a “criminal conspiracion” to reverse the 2020 presidential election.

This filing was made in an effort to persuade a judge that the panel could access emails from John Eastman, a lawyer who claims attorney-client privilege.

Lawyers for the House stated that evidence, information, and testimony available to the Committee establishes that Mr. Trump may have committed criminal and/or fraudulent actions and that Plaintiff’s legal aid was used in furtherance of these activities.

Trump and his campaign held a different perspective. They believed they were trying to prevent an illegal election from being certified, thus defending democracy, not trying to subvert it.

The January 6 Committee used the congressional subpoena power in order to obtain private emails and bank records from people who were not near the Capitol Riot and were engaging in constitutionally protected activities such as representing Trump in court or protesting ordinary.

Joe Biden’s campaign claimed during the 2020 campaign they had hired hundreds of lawyers to challenge the election result in the event they lost. This was a claim that the January 6 Committee considers a crime when Trump does it.

Many lawsuits have been filed against the January 6, Committee.
