Canadian PM Trudeau Accused of Being an Enemy of Democracy by Members of the European Parliament

The embattled Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau might not be as naive and tone-deaf as his ally US President Joe Biden is, but he's damn close. In February, Trudeau's violent arrest of members of the Freedom Convoy (organized in part to support disgruntled truckers protesting Trudeau’s vaccine mandates) shocked many, including some leaders in Europe.

On Wednesday in Brussels, Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) torched Trudeau in his presence, with at least one MEP claiming he shouldn't even be allowed to address the legislature because of his extreme, undemocratic actions.

MEP Christine Anderson of Germany called Trudeau a “disgrace for any democracy” to his face.

Anderson indicated that it would have been better for Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, to address the house in accordance with Article 14, a law specifically created to deal with violations of human rights as well as democracy and legality–exactly the offense of which Trudeau is accused.

She accused Trudeau of openly admiring the Chinese “basic dictatorship,” which violates its own citizens’ fundamental rights by systematically persecuting and demonizing them as terrorists simply because they dare to protest against its delusional notion of democracy. She further asserted that he shouldn't have the right to address the European Parliament in any way.

“Mr. Trudeau, you are a disgrace for any democracy,” Anderson concluded. “Please spare us your presence.”

Not to be outdone, Croatia's MEP Mislav Kolakusic slammed Trudeau with “perhaps the most humiliating international thrashing of his political career.” He argued that freedom, the right to choose, the right to life, the right to health, and the right to work to support oneself and one’s family are essential human rights for which millions of citizens from Europe and all over the world have given up their lives.

Canada was once an emblem of the globalized world, he pointed out, but turned into an emblem of civil-rights violations under Trudeau’s quasi-liberal rule in the last few months–trampling women with horses, shutting down the bank accounts of single parents and making it impossible for them to afford their children's schooling and medicines, unable to pay for utilities or mortgages on their houses.

Directly to Trudeau, Kolakusic said, “For you, these might be considered liberal, but for millions of people it's an oppression of the worst kind. You can be assured that the people of the world can end any dictatorship that seeks to take away the rights of the individual, be it through bombs or by using harmful pharmaceuticals.”

It may have left an impression, but maybe not, given Trudeau’s smug look.

Romanian MEP Cristian Terhes told Breitbart London that Trudeau has no right to tell anyone about democracy, including Russian President Vladimir Putin. She argued that Justin Trudeau cannot come to give a lecture to Putin about the importance of democracy within the European Parliament as he walks in hobnail boots over the fundamental rights of Canadians.

People are being forced to choose between Russian imperialist dictatorship, pushed by Putin, and the neo-Marxist dictatorship backed by hypocritical leaders such as Trudeau, who advocates for people being stripped of their rights and freedoms and becoming subjects of the state.

We must oppose both of these dictatorial options and stand for the same conservative principles that brought peace and prosperity to Europe and elsewhere: national sovereignty as well as individual freedom and respect for human rights.

MEP Terhes was also reported to have “mopped the floor” with Trudeau in February in protest of his handling of Ottawa Freedom Convoy protests.

“He's exactly like a tyrant, a dictator. He's like Ceausescu in Romania,” Terhes stated. Communist leader Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife, Elena, were executed by a firing squad on Christmas day in 1989 following a military trial, while the Soviet Union continued to collapse.

On Wednesday, after refusing to attend Trudeau's speech, Terhes released a statement blaming Trudeau in part for “having horses trample protestors during the Freedom Convoy crackdown.”

Oh, ouch, ouch and ouch! However, despite the raging criticism of the Canadian leader, he just this week signed an agreement with Canada’s New Democratic Party (NDP) and will stay in power until 2025.

Isn’t it funny how we just aren't able to rid ourselves of the left-wing politicians who want to ruin our lives as we know them?
