One thing that has made Tesla CEO Elon Musk's taking over Twitter enjoyable is his ability to drive the Left insane by claiming that he believes in the protection of the right to freedom of speech on Twitter. Musk has also demonstrated that he has a sense of humor. He is certainly trying to ensure freedom of expression on platforms, but he also demonstrates that he wants people to have fun while doing it.
He's been having a lot of fun doing that himself. He proved this once again in his masterful response to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). AOC was on one of her usual “I hate billionaires” rants. “Billionaires are similar to ‘the extremist far-left’ is taking over while the ‘extreme left’ in the US is ‘medicine won't make you bankrupt,’ ‘wages ought to be able to pay rental costs,’ and ‘maybe it's good for the US that Wall St companies profit off massive surveillance manufacturing housing crises and even caging people’” were among her tweets. AOC added: “The number of billionaires in the US couldn't even fill an apartment building, but the number of people they negatively impact is only growing. All the US billionaire votes combined couldn't even come in 2nd for a NY city council election. That's why they stay pressed.”
Then she fired an apparent shot toward Elon Musk. “Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening bc some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,” AOC claimed.
Saying you'd like to purchase an organization and also protect free speech–it’s equivalent to hate crimes. How can someone's mind be twisted like that? What if she was required to “collectively stress about” it? Seriously?
The same thing that happened to former President Donald Trump is happening to Elon Musk. Everything bad has now been linked to him. Even though Elon Musk hasn't taken control of Twitter yet, there's a similar “explosion of hate crimes.”
But Elon Musk had the best response. “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”
What's so amazing about all of this? It’s reminiscent of AOC's assertion in December of last year that Republican critics of her were actually desiring to “date her.” It’s just one more time that AOC ended up being compared to emptiness by the same people who loved Elon's reaction. AOC tried to cover her tracks after being so burnt by tweeting that the tweet was in reference to Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, but then she deleted the tweet. It was probably because it was evident that it was a ruse and also because Zuckerberg is extremely favorable to Democrats.
Very well done, Elon. This is surely one of the best tweets of all time and also a great way of responding with humor. I'm sure she'll never abandon her Tesla, however.
