The debacles from the Democrats were quite a sight on Tuesday, following the Politico leak of the draft opinion that suggested it was likely that the Supreme Court would reverse Roe v. Wade. They were igniting outrage against the Court by threatening and trying to intimidate justices and undermine another wing of the government. Don't allow Democrats to claim that they are “preserving norms”–all they're trying to do is protect their power and do not care what they need to do to keep the power they have.
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) affirmed that Supreme Court justices “do not have the right” to make decisions if they are not the ones the Democrats would like them to make. Democrat politicians are sporting the meltdown look to their base, indicating that they think they are an important point of reference to rally voters. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) dismissed Americans’ worries regarding border security and inflation, while claiming that the November elections in the near future are focused on “privacy.”
Then there’s Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who while condemning the Supreme Court is smiling wildly behind the scenes, delighted with the fact that he now has a platform on which Democrats can campaign, instead of talking about the extent to which Joe Biden has tanked the economy.
If you wondered how they are going to deal with the issue of inflation, they laid it out clearly–they'll avoid it, as well as Americans’ suffering with regard to the border. They'll pretend that Americans are just imagining problems. If you're suffering due to the inflation caused by their spending and inability to take a clear view, they're insisting that you must pay attention to what they're demanding that you pay attention to. Talk about being detached from reality. If they decide to run with that idea, they must be prepared for being crushed in November, because it's not going to go well. The GOP should simply play this in their ads to demonstrate how little the petty Democrats are concerned about Americans.
However, if we're to discuss “privacy,” let's talk about the government's mandates and lockdowns against Americans, its suppression of speech, and the creation of a “Ministry of Truth.” If they believe that this is an area that can help them, they'll be badly burned.
In the meantime, Schumer was making threats and attempting to intimidate the Supreme Court, while making the draft opinion appear as if it were an official decision by the Court. He also stated that court-packing was in the works. He even claimed that justices have lied in front of the Senate. If it's not clear to what he was referring, the senator was signaling plans to impeach justices who decide to vote against Roe v. Wade. These kinds of threats are shady, politically motivated attacks against the independence of the Court. They are unusual, but this isn't the first occasion that Schumer has made threats against the Supreme Court. He earlier threatened Justice Neil Gorsuch and Justice Brett Kavanaugh by claiming that they “had unleashed a whirlwind” and “would pay the price” for their decisions. Republicans should demand Schumer's removal from the Senate for his threats. The Court is in need of protection from Democrats who refuse to stop at nothing.
One savior from the radicals who would take down our system to achieve the results they seek is that they don't have enough votes in the Senate to pass a law that codifies Roe v. Wade, due to Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) remaining firm on the filibuster.
