The deal involving businessman and Tesla CEO Elon Musk buying Twitter is creating a storm on the internet. Musk has promised to improve the social media platform. He isn't shy about having a bit of amusement, though. He has tweeted that he'll purchase a range of other American firms to improve them.
What are some of the companies he's laughing about purchasing? One of his tweets read, “Next I'm buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in.” Other people have offered suggestions as well, such as buying Doritos so that he could fill the bags all the way to the very top. One person even suggested he purchase McDonald's so he can repair all of the chain's ice-cream makers. This one was funny enough to make Musk laugh. There's a joke going around that you can't buy cones or McFlurries from any McDonald's restaurant because the ice-cream machines appear to be broken. They've never been fixed. Musk retweeted the idea, with the caption, “Listen, I can't do miracles ok.” It's good to know that Musk knows his limits.
What he's promising is that the company will restore Twitter to a bipartisan platform, allowing people to exercise their rights to free speech. And conservatives are already returning. In fact, Twitter has encouraged people to “appeal” in the event that their accounts were taken down. Already Tucker Carlson has been reinstated on Twitter. It's evident that more conservatives are showing up also. Donald Trump, Jr. was quick to claim that he'd gained more than 87,000 followers in just one day.
For those liberals who are worried about what Twitter is likely to turn into, Musk has announced that he would like it to remain “politically neutral.” This means that we could be able to participate in an open and friendly debate about politics without Twitter banning anyone who has a conservative perspective on the subject.
In terms of what other companies Elon Musk might be thinking about buying, he does not have any set plans for the future. It's possible that Twitter will have his full attention for some time, particularly when he's able to implement the necessary changes he has suggested.
Twitter could become the platform for which we've been searching–given that Trump's platform did not really change things, and we can even see him eventually quitting his involvement with Truth Social. As of the moment, Trump has said that he has no plan to go back to Twitter. Instead, he continues to encourage users to take part in Truth Social, where he is becoming more active. He even posted an announcement at the end of the week that said “I'M BACK! #COVFEFE”
In the meantime, follow @elonmusk on Twitter and read his thoughts about the things he might purchase and repair. You might even get a response to your tweets. There's been a heated debate on whether Musk could purchase a TV network to revive some science-fiction shows that have real sci-fi in them–beginning with Firefly. With Musk speaking about how Battlestar Galactica was a great show, it's hard to say what we can expect from him in the future. Twitter could become his very first acquisition among numerous others.
