House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been inciting left-wingers by urging the public to take action to “improve the decision” revealed in the draft SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) opinion regarding Roe v. Wade leaked last week. There's no way around the fact that she has urged people to violate the law to alter the ruling.
Pelosi does not respect the rules of the Supreme Court. You shouldn't try to intimidate justices–that shouldn’t be left to the public. You don't crowdsource Supreme Court decisions. It doesn't matter what the majority of people think is the right thing to do. The Court does not make its decisions based on public opinion; its decisions are based on law. Pelosi is violating her vow to defend the Constitution.
Pelosi even declared the actions of protestors as “righteous anger” in other remarks. Do not bother with the Constitution or safeguarding a co-equal government branch. If the conservative justices do not agree with her, she appears to be happy about them being hounded and intimidated along with Catholic churches being attacked and vandalized.
The same people whom the Democrats were able to rile up in the hopes that they would become upset and vote Democrat in November are furious and showing up at the doors of those same Democratic politicians. Those leftists who took aim at the justices and their homes are now attacking Nancy Pelosi in hers.
Many groups, including the one that calls itself “Ruth sent Us,” threatened that they'd be visiting Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco home on Tuesday evening to demand she “investigate the corrupt justices” and “save abortion.” Their comments contained a plethora of bizarre conspiracy-theory defamation; however, that's the place that leftists currently are right now.
As per Fox News:
“We will be marching to the front door of [Pelosi's] Pac Heights mansion to demand: #SaveAbortionNancy #DefendRoe!,” Ruth sent Us tweeted.
“We have had careless and cowardly representation by [Pelosi],” the group said in a letter. “The GOP followed a scorched earth strategy with endless Benghazi hearings and ACA repeals, but she passed endless bills that lay on [Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's] desk and refused to hold hearings on TRUMPIAN crimes.”
“When nauseating [Supreme Court Justice Brett] Kavanaugh was nominated in 2018, Dems knew he was a Bush campaign operative who had perjured himself in previous confirmation hearings,” the report continued. “He was also a known alcoholic and gambler. Then his serial sexual assaults came to light. He was still seated on SCOTUS.”
“Through Herculean efforts of grassroots volunteers, [Pelosi] was reinstated in 2019,” the statement added. “She held ZERO hearings into Kavanaugh's crimes and perjury. Imagine if she had. Would this creep be on the Court, daring to overturn Roe?”
The activists want to weed out the conservative justices on the grounds that they “lied” or committed perjury during their confirmation hearings with their statements about Roe v. Wade. However, none of them declared that they would not overturn Roe. Their responses confirmed that they didn't have opinions on any matters that could be presented to them in the future. They said only that they held precedent to be true. Of course, if a previous court decision was proved wrong, that would be an additional issue.
However, there's also karma associated with this trip to Pelosi's home. Could we consider it to be one of the outcomes of the “whirlwind” the Democrats unleashed? Going to her home isn't in violation of the law against seeking to influence a court's decision. Also, Pelosi must be feeling down when they try to annoy her, even though she is a proponent of protest.
The main point is that although the Democrats may have thrown the news of the leak up to attract votes, it could cause the opposite–that is, leftists may decide not to support Democrats since they're unable to give them the results they crave.
