Man in Charge of Security on January 6 Dies

There were numerous reports published on Monday regarding the passing of Michael Stenger, the Senate sergeant-at-arms in charge of security at the Senate during the Capitol protests. Based on Fox News' Chad Pergram Stenger's death on Monday morning.

The Washington Examiner reported about it, stating that the reason for the death of the man wasn't “not immediately clear.”

Stenger was forced to step down in the aftermath of the January 6 riot, which occurred after the Senate Minority Chairman Mitch McConnell asked for his resignation. He was the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate between the years of 2018 until 2021. Before that, he worked as a member of the Secret Service.

It took nearly four hours for the National Guard to arrive on the scene on that day. Some have even questioned whether Stenger or his former House colleague, Paul Irving, could have called for help earlier, WUSA9 reported.

In the wake of the security breach that occurred on the 6th of January, Congress adopted a number of procedural changes to eliminate any confusion concerning the authority of Congress' security team to summon reinforcements.

Stenger was a witness before Congress in 2021. He said it was time to investigate the travel and funding of what was described as “professional agitators.” It's unclear what he was talking about in his testimonies.

News of Stenger's passing, without a cause of death being revealed immediately, triggered questions.

The announcement came shortly after the January 6 Committee announced that it was scheduled to meet on Tuesday, in a surprising decision.

They previously announced they would not hold hearings before July.

The committee did not provide a reason for why they changed their minds, just stating that they were holding a hearing at 1pm. Tomorrow, they'll “present recently obtained evidence and receive witness testimony.” The House is currently in recess therefore they are likely to create suspense over the evidence they may have. However, considering their past of slander and deceit and nonsense, you can be sure that what they spin as important, isn't. However, at these times, they have to be trying everything they can to draw the attention of American citizens, as polls have proven that people aren't paying attention, and Congressional Democrats say “no one gives a bleep” about it.
