There have been a number of snarky remarks by Joe Biden and he had yet another on his final day of Saudi Arabia on Saturday, in which he claimed there were no American troops fighting within the Saudi Arabia region.
“For the first time since 9/11, an American President is visiting this region without American troops being engaged in combat — in a combat mission in the region,” Biden declared. “We'll always honor the bravery and selfishness — selflessness of the — and sacrifices of the Americans who served, including my son, Major Beau Biden, who was stationed in Iraq for a year.”
Secretary of State Antony Blinken, situated near the president during the speech, was a bit uncomfortable following the awkward slip.
It's a horrible mistake to make.
However, what's more damaging than the mistakes are the poor policies and incompetent actions Joe Biden takes that have caused so much harm to this nation. Joe Biden brags about troops not fighting throughout the Middle East. It was definitely a long-cherished objective of several American leaders. However, Biden would not be willing to compromise the possibility of it being safe and properly while protecting American citizens and soldiers and our allies as he retreated in the mess that was his withdrawal from Afghanistan. Biden pulled out the military prior to taking Americans along with our allies. Eventually, the president had to put more troops back in harm's way.
Biden was so focused on escaping before the deadline he set the date, he didn't even consider the thousands of people who were left behind, thereby condemning thousands of them to a bleak fate by the Taliban. Biden and his crew even claimed that the people who were left behind, saying they were fewer than 200. In reality, there were thousands. In order to get an image-op like the one that he took at Jeddah this past Saturday.
When we think of “selfishness,” the real selfishness wasn't those American military personnel who were doing everything they could in an incredibly difficult circumstance that was forced upon them. They did a great job and rescued 13 American military members killed during the withdrawal and the many others who were injured. The true selfishness was that of Joe Biden.
Let's think of the 13 that year Joe Biden tries to make these statements again in the near future. Since those are the people who paid the ultimate cost for Biden's lack of competence.
