RedState reported that the president is about to openly violate the law by attempting to “cancel” thousands of dollars of student loan debt that was accumulated by those who are among the most privileged people in society. In reality, it won't really be canceled. Instead, the government will have less money and move the responsibility of the obligations from the taxpayers who made them, to thousands of taxpayers who did not.
The White House will announce on Wednesday the cancellation of up to $10,000 in student loan debt for borrowers who make less than $125,000, a source familiar with the plans confirms to CNN https://t.co/rhtbhEefrI

It's an immoral step to inform an employee who earns $40,000 per year that he has to be the one to repay the debt for Americans who have better employment prospects and will receive nothing in exchange. In addition, there are the larger economic implications. What do you believe will be the outcome for inflation if numerous people suddenly have $10,000 less in debts?
However, the most important issue lies in the fact that everything Biden intends to do is unconstitutional. There isn't a federal law which allows Biden to forgive student loan debt by transferring it to taxpayers with his signature. Nancy Pelosi even declared that Biden isn't able to do this. The Department of Education has confirmed Biden does not have the power. For the president to try to make this move would be an intentional, deliberate choice to commit an impeachable offence.
The biggest issue then becomes how Republicans will respond. Complaining on social media won't enough. The upcoming Republican House majority (and possibly, Senate) must take action to ensure that they hold Biden accountable. The Treasury should have to account for the so-called canceled debt and the university system tax and investigation. The GOP cannot end there, however. They have to impeach Biden.
For too long, many right-wingers have been reluctant to discuss impeachment except if it's in relation to Donald Trump. Washington tried to impeach a president for mere hints at what could have been a justifiable investigation, but won’t impeach presidents who openly violate the law. Impeachment is more that phone calls and rude tweets. Biden should be impeached and, while he's unlikely to be found guilty in the Senate, getting this out there is a victory in and of itself. The lawlessness needs to be stopped, and any Republican who refuses to fight for justice must resign.
