It has been reported that, according to whistleblowers, it was the FBI leadership that gave orders to FBI agents to not to look into Hunter Biden’s laptop so it wouldn't impact the outcome of the election. Although they had received the laptop, with enough time to examine it, in December 2019, they didn't look into it until after the presidential election. In addition, the FBI attempted to label it “disinformation.” That would seem alarming, but the situation gets more disturbing.
In a fascinating discussion with Joe Rogan on his “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed something shocking. Rogan asked about Facebook's view of the suppression of the New York Post story about the laptop in October 2020. Zuckerberg then said that FBI warned them just before the laptop story was published to be aware that “Russian disinformation” was coming.
“Basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us- some folks on our team and was like, ‘Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert… We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election. We have it on notice that, basically, there’s about to be some kind of dump of that’s similar to that. So just be vigilant,'” Zuckerberg told host Joe Rogan.
Zuckerberg insisted that Facebook users were “still allowed to share” the Post’s reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop even as their “third-party fact-checking program” was looking into whether it was misinformation, but acknowledged that the “ranking in [the] news feed was a little bit less” and that “fewer people saw it than would’ve otherwise.”
“By what percentage?” Rogan asked.
“I don’t know off the top of my head, but it’s- it’s meaningful,” Zuckerberg responded.
Zuckerberg admitted that he doesn't know if there was a specific conversation about the laptop. However, he did say that it “fit the pattern.” He has since regretting how he handled the situation by saying, “Yeah, yeah. I mean, it sucks.” However, he attempted to defend himself by saying that given the circumstances, it was “pretty reasonable” that he allowed certain distribution of the New York Post article, even though Facebook limited it.
It's very shocking. It's also shocking that Zuckerberg admitted that he did it and seems to believe that this is normal.
This isn't just the FBI interfering in the presidential election and their actions resulting in the suppression of a story that could have been detrimental to Joe Biden. Interposing the federal government in the censorship of social media sites could go against the First Amendment. The FBI was the one who was causing the “disinformation” which they were referring to.
We are in a poor position as a nation when the government, particularly its most significant law enforcement agency, is intervening in this manner to control what's visible and not visible on social media. This is especially true when it benefits the party that is in power.
If ever there was any reason to remove all Democrats from the government and clean it up, this is it for those who want to keep our freedom.
