New Poll Shows That Biden’s Bashing of MAGA Americans Wasn’t a Smart Political Move

Trafalgar Group, in partnership with the Convention of States, has released a new poll, and it's not a good sign for Joe Biden's newest tactic of demonizing thousands of MAGA Americans as threats to the country.

Biden was working all week before he capped it off with his speech on Thursday. However, he probably saw an immediate reaction to his speech, as he had already attempted to change his tactics somewhat when confronted about the issue by the media the following morning. CNN even criticised Biden for using the Marines. The media demanded White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to confirm if Biden would apologize for his remarks where he slammed Americans.

The results are in and they demonstrate how bad this strategy was. Biden likely tried to inspire his supporters in the hope that they'd go out and “vote to vote, make a vote, vote”—as he implored them to do in his speech that they said was “non-political.”

Most likely voters were asked what they thought of Biden saying that his political opponents are guilty of “an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

A majority, 56.8 percent of people likely to vote, said the speech “represents a dangerous escalation in rhetoric and is designed to incite conflict amongst Americans.”

Only 35.5 declared it to be an “acceptable campaign messaging that is expected in an election year.” This response was from the 70.8 percent of Democrats who said this. The fact that they didn't recognize the flaws in the speech is an indication of how bad things have become.

The polls showed that 89.1 percent of Republicans believed it was a “dangerous escalation,” with 4.7 percent of them saying that it was acceptable. I'm not sure who the “Republicans” who thought it was acceptable were but perhaps it was the few who backed the former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY)? However, this ought to have been a reminder to those who support them that they're actually encouraging people on the left by being part of the group who are behind these attacks on Americans.

The most interesting part of this poll was what independents felt about it. They are the ones are the Democrats need if they don’t want Republicans to win — 62.4 percent of independents considered it a “dangerous escalation.” This coincides with the latest YouGov poll which found Biden is falling behind with most independents with only 26.7 percent approval and 64.1 percent disapproval.

The Trafalgar Poll ran for three days after the speech and it was almost D+4, meaning it's leaning toward the Democrats.

“These numbers reveal that most voters were sickened and deeply disturbed by what they saw last week. When you couple this finding with previous polling we did indicating a majority of voters also hold President Biden responsible for America’s divisions—it’s clear that the man who promised to unite the nation has become the most divisive President in American history,” said Mark Meckler, President of the Convention of States.

“When voters tell you they think that the prepared remarks of a sitting President of the United States is a dangerous escalation and was designed to incite conflict, we are living in terrifying times. Perhaps even more terrifying is the fact that a huge majority of Democrats think this was just a routine, election year stump speech,” Meckler said.

“This is the tyranny the founders of America foresaw, and it’s why they included an emergency provision in Article V that empowers the states to reign in an out-of-control federal government. A Convention of States needs to happen and urgently,” he added.

Biden is destroying Democrats’ midterm hopes.

He was trying so hard to buildup the base, but at the same time, he lost all they needed to be successful.
