The president has finally joined in the dispute regarding the transportation of illegal immigrants to destinations such as Martha's Vineyard and Kamala Harris' vice presidential home.
In a speech at a gala hosted at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, Joe Biden railed against Republicans for the use of “migrants” as “props,” however, he stayed clear of the names Gov. Ron Desantis or Gov. Greg Abbott.
Here are a few quotes of the day, according to The Hill.
“Republicans are playing politics with human beings, using them as props. What they’re doing is simply wrong, it’s un-American, it’s reckless,” Biden said Thursday evening.
“And we have a process in place to manage migrants at the border. We’re working to make sure it’s safe and orderly and humane,” Biden continued. “Republican officials should not interfere with that process by waging these political stunts.”
This sort of thing is incredibly awful. Biden's policies have caused the current crisis on the borders to happen and exacerbated it. They've also increased it beyond what anyone could have imagined. It's likely that most people knew Biden would have disastrous immigration policies, but the fact that there have been upwards of 200,000 per month is almost inconceivable.
For this man, who is causing the issue, to make a statement regarding others being “un-American” for sending a small number of illegals to wealthy Democrat areas with plenty of resources is simply amazing, but not in a positive way. Did something happen to the notion of sanctuary cities? Was all that gushing about our diversity being a strength and virtue signaling regarding federal immigration laws simply to look good to others? This was a rhetorical question, clearly.
But even though Biden declares these moves of the border states are “stunts,” they aren't. The two governors, DeSantis and Abbott, have succeeded in bringing the attention of the nation to the crisis at the border. All they needed to do was send some illegal immigrants to Democrat cities. The possibility of it bringing about a change is the goal, and it is a legitimate one.
In addition, Biden's claim that border crossings are orderly is false. Women, men, and children are living under bridges in shanty towns. The risks are high, and there have been more than 1,000 illegal aliens who have died near the border this year. And that's just in the last few miles agents have discovered. Imagine how many are dying due to the 3,000 miles they traveled.
Biden's border policies are morally wrong and cruel. Biden has no right to make anyone feel guilty about the actions of the government or the use of illegal immigrants as players. the worst thing Republican governors did was to offer free transportation to those who were headed to the middle of the country to seek more opportunities. This is a world away from the policies of destruction, death, and lawlessness.
However, no Biden speech would have been finished without Joe Biden doing Joe Biden things. As he left his speech, he appeared to be lost on the stage and was unsure of which side to walk off.
That's the guy who is trying to establish himself as the moral center of America. It's a hilarious and everyone knows it is. If Biden really was concerned about illegal aliens, he would stop offering incentives to immigrants to come. Aside from that, he'd be encouraging their relocation across the country to spread the burden. Instead, he's in favor that red states carry the burden because he thinks it politically advantageous. Bravo to DeSantis and Abbott for passing it off to them.
