Another CNN Employee is About to Get Fired

There's been plenty of turmoil at CNN since the company's CEO Chris Licht arrived and the majority of it has been good since he's reportedly seeking to bring the company back to the news outlet it was once before becoming merely propaganda for the Democratic party.

Brian Stelter, Jeff Zucker, and John Harwood have all been removed recently. Don Lemon lost his nighttime show and is now co-host of the morning program alongside Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins. With apparent regret, Don Lemon said goodbye to his show at night on Friday.

News Cycle Media's Jon Nicosia has suggested someone else could soon get the boot. Nicosia has good sources at CNN, and his previous information has been correct.

On Tuesday, Nicosia tweeted, “SCOOP: Another “big name” is about to leave @CNN. (Stay tuned).”

Nicosia claims that a Discovery executive has explained the reason why this “big name” “does not have a place in the new CNN. He reminds us of the Zucker period we are looking to move far from. The only reason he is still on air was not to look like we were ‘cleaning house’ for political reasons right after the closing.”

This, naturally, caused speculation, however Nicosia says he “agreed not to report the name until the end of the week.”

Today, “person who reminds us of the Zucker period” refers to an individual who is a committed liberal. The issue is that since it's CNN, this basically describes everyone. Some of the names that were mentioned on Twitter included Don Lemon, Jake Tapper, and Jim Acosta.

Out of the three, the most unlikely is Lemon. Though they might want to remove Lemon, he was recently transferred to the morning slot, so they probably won’t be firing him. This leaves Tapper and Acosta.

Tapper is a liberal, however he probably has a bigger contract to negotiate, similar to Lemon. This is probably the reason Lemon was moved to the morning rather than being let go. If it is between Tapper and Acosta who, according to them, was more reminiscent of the Zucker period, the best bet would be Acosta as he's less obnoxious. However, there's also Anderson Cooper, who is as awful as Acosta.

An earlier story on Jim Sciutto could tie in with this news. Sciutto was involved in an incident with a producer in Amsterdam. CNN required him to go on leave due to “personal” reasons, but there was more to be told. He's a liberal and a former Obama official. Do they think he's akin to Zucker? There could be a strong motive there.
