Elon’s Decision to Change the Twitter Verification System is Making Liberals Have Tantrums Regarding the Blue Checks

There have been reports that Elon Musk might be bringing an entirely brand new method of verification to Twitter and will begin charging for having the blue check that shows the account has been verified.

Musk is now fleshing that out more, and of course many liberals with blue checks are reacting negatively.

“Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bulls***. Power to the people! Blue for $8/month,” Musk stated, suggesting he is considering charging $8 per month for the ability to do without advertising. It would also allow Musk to avoid being threatened by boycotts of advertising, which is a popular liberal strategy to censor things they do not like.

Musk declared that it would be proportional “Price adjusted by country proportionate to purchasing power parity.”

One individual on Twitter, Mark Finchem, who's the Republican candidate for Arizona Secretary of State, noticed a change at the end of Halloween night in Musk's bio. It said Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator below his name.

A few conservatives have said that he should end the shadow banning first. They felt they shouldn’t be charged $8 to get a blue checkmark if they're being shadow banned.

This is a good point. People on the right hope that many of the issues will be resolved and Musk has stated that he will be looking into issues such as shadow banning. He just bought Twitter, so hopefully in the next few weeks changes will be happening in those areas since he's said he's looking to fix these problems.

The rages of certain left-wingers were extreme about the thought of having to pay.

Stephen King and David Hogg have said they believe they should be paid for the words of wisdom think they are writing.

Responding to an earlier report that suggested it might be 20 dollars, Stephen King tweeted “$20 a month to keep my blue check? F*** that, they should pay me. If that gets instituted, I’m gone like Enron.” David Hogg said, “I am not paying $240 a year to be verified. Absolutely the f*** not.” He also wrote, “Verified people are a major reason why many people are on twitter in the first place. If anything they should be paying us. Verified accounts bring people to twitter and help with ad revenue.”

However, there's a lot of things to clean up. It's great that Elon appears intent to take on the challenge, and that can be celebrated by everyone.
