Elon Musk's taking over Twitter has brought lots of enjoyment back to the site.
One of the most hilarious things that has happened is hypocritical praise of virtue by liberals who believe that Musk could be “literally Hitler” for wanting to ensure freedom of speech on the site. We've seen instances of CBS going under last weekend because of the “abundance of caution.” Then they came back to a deserved smear. Of course, there were those such as Never Trumper George Conway, who made a huge announcement about quitting then…is continuing to post on the website. As Elon Musk said, some simply can't let go of him.
The most recent virtue signer Alyssa Milano proudly announcing she “gave back her Tesla” and purchased an electric Volkswagen electric car.
“I'm not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter,” Milano stated. “Publicly traded company's [sic] products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn't seem to be a winning business model.”
I'm not able to see any of the “hate and white supremacy” that she's complaining about. It's like she's thinking the idea inside her mind. Anything she does not like could be considered “white supremacy.”
She would use it to make a virtue signal regarding purchasing the Tesla a while ago.
“Giving her Tesla back” (whatever it signifies) would not do a thing to Elon Musk.
Does she even know the story behind Volkswagen? She is adamant about a person who supports free speech to be able to embrace Volkswagen, a company established in the hands of Nazis? The Volkswagen plant during the Nazis reign included eight concentration camps as well as four prisons for labor forced. The business was later absorbed by other companies following the war, however it is still a part of that heritage. Milano isn't the sharpest tool in the drawer. She flees from someone who wants to have free speech in their company as she purchases an automobile from a business founded by white supremacists who are real.
A lot of people have also mentioned the VW emissions scandal, in which they had their cars programmed to pass inspections; however, the same car produces more emissions when in the real world of driving. This didn't seem to have a bearing on her choice, or maybe she was just as ignorant of it as she was of the link of the Nazis.
Additionally, she even scolds advertisers. However, she does this while on Twitter. It's not over. If Musk is that bad, Why is she there? Why hasn’t she gone to Mastodon, or to wherever liberals are gathered and fighting with one another?
The answer is straightforward and the same issue for CBS and Twitter: they need Musk and Twitter significantly more than he does. If Milano was to leave, Musk wouldn't shed a tear, but she'd be losing some followers, especially the liberal ones which help keep her up and make her feel significant. She isn't willing to let that go.
