The most significant story of the month is without a doubt Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, releasing what's been called “The Twitter Files,” exposing the collusion between Twitter and the Democratic-controlled administration to silence or restrict its critics.
In the wake of the announcement of such damning information being made available, one would expect the mainstream media to be awash with news about it. However, true to tradition, the mainstream news media chose to largely pretend that the files were not there. According to Fox News, the major media outlets dedicated just a few minutes to reporting about it.
The main weekend broadcasts on ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN all devoted scant minutes to this story, which prompted Twitter CEO Elon Musk to voice his opinion about the utter silence. “I think those people should be looking in the mirror and wondering why they were deceptive. Why did they deceive the American public?” Musk asked. “And instead of trying to redirect blame to Matt Taibbi [American journalist and podcaster], they should be accepting some responsibility themselves for not being truthful to the American public.”
MSNBC dedicated three minutes to the issue, while CNN spared 10 over the weekend.
The cause of the silence hasn't been acknowledged by anyone; however, it doesn't require a confession to discover the reason. The Twitter data is an extremely negative look at the people who belong to the Democratic Party and the incredibly biased world of big tech. The traditional media has shown itself to be extremely biased in favor of the left and capable of engaging in similar collusion to what Twitter was once involved in, and thus it has decided not to report on the issue.
This is the same media that spits out breathless reports about which person on the January 6 committee sneezes. It’s the same media that propagated the bogus notion of former President Donald Trump colluding with Russia virtually all day, seven days a week.
If this doesn't prove to you that the media is not trustworthy, it's hard to know what will. The situation we're facing is nothing less than the government trying to stifle freedom of speech by taking additional measures. This is the media shielding those who manipulate public information for their own benefit.
It's not surprising that Ron DeSantis (Republican governor of Florida) won't talk to them any more.
On Tuesday, more information from the “Twitter Files” was released. We can anticipate the same level of silence from the media that we've witnessed to date. They'll keep the matter quiet until it becomes too big to ignore, which could happen in the near future if other media outlets that are not included in the top name brands make a big noise about the story.
