President Biden has a long history of having difficulty getting away from the stage after his speeches. On Monday, a child had to help him figure out which way to proceed. Biden was speaking at a Toys for Tots event with the United States Marine Corps Reserve in Arlington, Virginia.
After he has finished his remarks, Biden looks around, notices the girl in the distance, then spins around 360 degrees and strokes her shoulder. “Which way do we go?” Biden inquires by grasping her wrist, moving off towards Jill.
Biden has expressed praise for the girl who is a military child:
“When I was that age, I could hardly say my name in public,” Biden declared. “Actually I would speak with a stutter as a child, up until I got to high school. It was the one thing that irked everyone else. Regardless, you're extremely impressive.”
If it was a one-time event, we could be lenient and say he was a little confused. It could happen to anyone. For Joe however, this is a regular event. Joe often appears confused and confused, loses track of phrases, runs off, or calls people by the incorrect name. It would not be an issue if it was simply a gramps who was lost in the ice cream stand; however, this man is the chief of the free world.
One of his most famous actions was in April, when he tried shaking hands with a person who was not there. Since then, there have been a lot of gaffes increasing like autumn leaves as he speaks in a rambling manner and loses his focus in almost every situation.
At the White House state dinner honoring France, Joe called the country “Frank,” while renaming Marquis de Lafayette, a French military officer who served for France in the American Revolutionary War, “Marcus Lafayette.”
In the lead-up to the midterm elections, he was able to misinterpret the name of Sen. Elizabeth Warren's title and Sen. Ralph Warnock's during an election event.
At an event at the White House event recognizing the Kennedy Center honorees, Biden acknowledged the group U2 as well as the “150 albums sold — among the most ever!” He continued to praise the singer Gladys Knight for her performance–in 1919.
When he was at the National Christmas Tree lighting, he appeared to be completely confused and left the stage – with the microphone.
The other thing that's concerning at Joe's latest outing was that he grabbed the wrist of a little girl and held it the whole way off the stage. If it were the majority of people, you'd think it's not a major issue, he's simply being a grandfather–but it's Joe Biden, a man who has a history of sniffing hair and other inappropriate behavior. It's remarkable that no one, not Jill or his advisers, have taken the precaution to not entertain cameras or young ladies at the same time.
The frequency of his blunders appears to be growing. It's becoming increasingly difficult to imagine Biden running for reelection in 2024.
