Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced their latest figures Friday, which show that in the month of December 2022, the Patrol took 17 suspects to the southern border whose names are on the FBI's Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB). This brings the total to 38 people since this Fiscal Year started on October 1st, 2022.
As per the FBI, anyone on the list could be “reasonably suspected” of being extremely dangerous
Prior to the 9/11 attacks, there were multiple terror watchlists. This made it difficult to exchange information. The TSC combined all the watchlists into one federal terrorist watchlist. The watchlist contains information about individuals who could be involved in terrorist activities (or associated activities).
If you're not convinced that Biden's scandalous policies are at fault, consider that there were just 3 Watch List arrests in FY 2020. Nevertheless, even though Biden's Administration insists it is safe, the number of illegal crossings continues to rise.
The numbers are shocking. More than 70,000 people were evicted in December, and more than 600,000 in FY 2022. What percentage of them arrived with the intention of killing Americans or devising plans for mass casualty attacks?
When you fly commercially within the United States, you're subject to lengthy security lines; the humiliation of removing shoes, taking out your laptop, and possibly being slapped or taken away by security officials from the Transportation Security Administration. This isn't a 100% secure system, but the United States hasn't been the victim of a major aviation incident since 9/11.
In the event of a terror attack, would you be willing to fly through the U.S. commercially? Not unless you're an extremely stupid terrorist. You'd take a direct route to Mexico and then travel to the Rio Grande, and slip through the border of our nation before disappearing to the vastness of Texas or Arizona.
Biden appeared at the U.S. Conference of Mayors on Friday. As always, Biden refused to accept any liability for the disaster on the Rio Grande, instead laughably declaring it was all Republicans fault:
“I went to the border earlier in the month, for the first time as President. I've been before [this isn't the case] but this was my first visit in my capacity as president.”
“One of the first bills I proposed comprised a complete reform bill regarding immigration. But some of the members of the Congress refused to take it up. They viewed it as an ideal issue to run a debate rather than a problem to address.”
We have an option: They could continue to use immigration to gain political points, or we can aid in solving the issue. Immigration reform was an issue of bipartisan consensus.
This is a truly abominable assertion. In the first place, over the last two years, Democrats controlled the White House, the Senate, and Congress. Failures in this regard are not at the hands or the fault of the GOP. The second fact is that new laws can be passed, sure, but for the moment Biden is in a bind because his administration is refusing to enforce laws already in force. Thirdly, people are suffering and dying and dying, but in Biden's political world, raising the issue is like seeking in order to “score political points.”
In spite of the shambolic consequences that Biden and his administration produced, the one that has caused the most havoc at the border could become his most defining legacy.
